SciFi and Fantasy Art: Merfish

Okay, the story with this one is I grabbed the bright green colored pencil and drew some swirly lines on a clean piece of paper. Then I thought; 'hey, that could be a mermaid tail and those are the arms. . .' add some dark purple for the tail -oops, that looks like a peacock feather on crack, I'll reverse that and put it on his head for fun. . .- And Now you're looking at a Merfish. Ta da! . . .?

Interesting colouring of this. I really like the tail fin, and the way the green and purple blend together so naturally.

1 Brandy L. Jackson replies: "Righteous! Righteous! Gotta love blend! Thanks!!"

I like it! Unique... and yes, the color combination works out nicely.

:-) Brandy L. Jackson replies: "Awesome! Thanks! it's fun to just pick a color and go with it!"

Love the originality in this... so atypical of "Little Mermaid" mermaids, complete with little shell bras and lipstick...

I like this guy, in fact, I think I saw him under my boat one late night, or maybe that was the rum...

Cool colors, esp. the tail!

:-) Brandy L. Jackson replies: "LoL You saw him under the boat? What were you doing under your boat? YES! Originality! (celebrates, hands out mugs of rum) Thanks!!"

I, too, love the color scheme. This is really outrageous in an oceanic sort of way. It really catches the eye! GREAT WORK!

:-) Brandy L. Jackson replies: "Thanks girly!! You think he's outrageous, you should see my closet! 14"

I wasn't under my boat... just looking down into the water!! Oh, and I don't want to know what you consider outrageous that lives in your closet...

*peeks in Brandy's closet and is snatched in by a huge clawed hand*

Hellllppp meeeee.....!

*munchy crunchy sounds...*

1 Brandy L. Jackson replies: "LOL hey, that hand is in here too!Nothin lives in my closet silly, the CLOTHES are the outrageous part. But the huge clawed hand; he's under my BED! 2 Grar. . . .!?"

W00T!!!! GREAT COLOURS!!!! KICKASS!!!! Errrm...let me compose myself...Yes love the pictures colour and new look. I drew a picture just like this once. Except the head was covered in hair, but the hands tail and all were very similar.

12 Brandy L. Jackson replies: "WOOT! He said KICKASS!!! Of course they were similar; great minds think alike you know! Glad everyone likes the color, as you know, I don't have a lot of color in here . . .suck at colors. . .need work, yes I do"

WOw, this is really creative--it's much more a fish than a person (hence the name I guess). I really like the concept.

:-) Brandy L. Jackson replies: "Well thanks! I imagine this guy being like, the faery/imp equivelant to mermaids? LOL Or not; I dunno. . .THANKS!!"
